COLAS Ireland carried out road resurfacing works on the N56 in Donegal. This project was commissioned by Donegal County Council and the work was carried out over a three-day period and consisted of the application of Mesh Track and Surface Sealant.
Through our previous relationship and projects with the client, from previous sites completed the client requested that we apply a buff finish surface to the Glenlo Abbey on behalf of the MHL group. We used a clear epoxy resin to ensure adhesion while broadcasting on top a 2/5mm Daltex yellow aggregate. This was left to cure and mechanically swept to ensure excess aggregate was removed. We also carried out line marking services to the carpark.
Commissioned by Sligo County Council, this project was carried out over a five week period and consisted of traffic management (24/7 road closure), public relations, milling out (planning), road sawing, excavation, deep recycling using bitumen (including design), surface dressing, meshtrack, base binder and wearing course (subcontractor), drainage works, line marking and laboratory testing.
